Church Walks

"seeking to proclaim the Gospel and serve our local community"

Church Walks

The walkers meet one a month (usually the third Sunday) after morning worship for a local walk and fellowship.

Our next walks will be on
Sunday April 21 and Sunday May 18.

Our April walk is on Sunday April 21 when we will be doing a walk from The Street in Kingston up onto the Downs and back down through Swanborough, with a distance of about 3 miles /5km.

The May walk will be on Sunday May 18 – and will be a repeat of one we did last September which, unfortunately, many of our regular walkers were unable to attend. It will have a 1.30 p.m. start at the Happy Valley Recreation Ground in Woodingdean, Brighton. This is on the right side of the B2123 about half a mile beyond Woodingdean X-roads in the Rottingdean direction. Parking at the site is free, so there is no need to wrestle with the dreaded Brighton parking app. The walk is around 4 miles (6 km) and will take us over the downs towards the sea at Roedean and then back up to Woodingdean. This is a surprisingly remote and attractive area, despite its proximity to the city: a nice tract of downland with the tang of the sea.

All our walks are subject to weather conditions, particularly in the winter months
