Church Walks
The walkers meet one a month (usually the third Sunday) after morning worship for a local walk and fellowship.
Our next walk will be on Sunday 19 January
The January walk will be on Sunday 19, leaving the church at 1.30 p.m. We will walk down to Southover to see the new Cockshut Stream Restoration Project. This has shifted the weed- clogged stream south to create a large new wetland, which is very good for nature conservation, as this important habitat has been lost in many other areas of Sussex. It will also reduce flood risk downstream towards the town centre and the River Ouse, and act as a carbon store. You can find out more about the project here: https://www.cockshutstream.org/
You can expect a mid-winter walk here to be damp, or perhaps even soggy, so you are strongly advised to wear wellies, rather than trainers or walking boots. The walk is about 2 miles /3 km
All our walks are subject to weather conditions, particularly in the winter months
