Premises Calendar

'The Christ Church ThinkTank has been in existence for over 10 years. It draws on speakers from all the churches in the Lewes area.  Whether you go to church or not, come whenever the topic interests you. The format is 45 minutes talk and 45 minutes discussion and our average attendance is about 30. All meetings are from 7.30 pm to 9 pm.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday  18 September 2019, when Reg Lanaway will be speaking on:

Watching birds: lessons for society

Reg Lanaway is a member of the congregation at St Pancras and has worked at Plumpton College since he joined it as a student in 1954. He is also a keen bird-watcher, who has held a British Trust for Ornithology ringing permit since 1968. He will show how bird populations and migrations are affected by changes in human society and describe successes and failures in attempts to preserve the rich ornithological environment that the present generation has inherited.

Every year, just before Christmas, we join with our friends from St.Anne’s church and the Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band on the Nevill Green, for a service of Christmas Readings and Carol Singing, together with hot mince pies and mulled apple juice.

Carols on the Green for 2019 will be on:

Sunday, 15 December at 2:30 pm.

We hope to see you there!

Starting in September, we will be holding our Messy Sunday on the second Sunday of every month (instead of the fourth Sunday).

We start at 9:30 am with breakfast, followed by a time for craft/activities, and with a worship celebration at 10:30 am. We aim to be finished by 11 am, though you can stay for coffee.

Do come and join us!

We also run Messy Church during school holidays, usually on a Friday morning between 10.30 am and 1 pm, with quizzes, Bible based activities and crafts for all ages, followed by a short time of informal worship and a light meal.

Our next school holiday
Messy Church will be on
1 November 2019
at 10:30 am.
