'The Christ Church ThinkTank has been in existence for over 10 years. It draws on speakers from all the churches in the Lewes area.  Whether you go to church or not, come whenever the topic interests you. The format is 45 minutes talk and 45 minutes discussion and our average attendance is about 30. All meetings are from 7.30 pm to 9 pm.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday  19 June 2019, when Dr John Parry will be speaking on:

      Open spaces in urban environments

John Parry is a graduate of Reading and Sussex Universities and has worked for many years as a teacher. He is currently senior teaching fellow in education at Sussex where his special interests are in sustainable development, environmental education, and social inclusion. He is a founder member of the Lewes Railway Land Wildlife Trust and  worked with others to build the Linklater Pavilion. He was awarded an MBE in 2017. In his talk he will discuss the challenges and importance of open spaces in towns.

Every year, just before Christmas, we join with our friends from St.Anne’s church and the Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band on the Nevill Green, for a service of Christmas Readings and Carol Singing, together with hot mince pies and mulled apple juice.

Carols on the Green dates for 2019 will be decided later in the year. We hope to see you there!

We hold a Messy Church on the fourth Sunday of every month. We start at 9:30 am with breakfast, followed by a time for craft/activities, and finishing with a worship celebration which starts at 10:30 am. We aim to be finished by 11 am, though you can then stay for coffee

Do come and join us!

We also run Messy Church during school holidays, usually on a Friday morning between 10.30 am and 1 pm, with quizzes, Bible based activities and crafts for all ages, followed by a short time of informal worship and a light meal.

Our next school holiday
Messy Church will be on
Friday 31 May  2019
at 10:30 am.
