'The Christ Church ThinkTank has been in existence for over 10 years. It draws on speakers from all the churches in the Lewes area.  Whether you go to church or not, come whenever the topic interests you. The format is 45 minutes talk and 45 minutes discussion and our average attendance is about 30. All meetings are from 7.30 pm to 9 pm.

Our next meeting will be on Wednesday  20 February 2019 by Canon Dr Peter Sills, who will be speaking on:

      Leadership from a Christian perspective

Peter Sills began his career as an academic lawyer at what is now Kingston University. He was called to the bar in 1977 and worked with Harry Woolf, who later became Lord Chief Justice. In the late 1970 he was ordained as an Anglican priest and served three South London parishes before becoming Vice-Dean at Ely Cathedral. He has written a number of publications on Christian Social Teaching and is concerned about the lack of opportunities in many churches for ordinary people to learn about their faith. He believes this should be based on knowledge (firm foundations), experience (we learn with the heart as well as the mind) and reflection (to relate faith to everyday life).

Every year, just before Christmas, we join with our friends from St.Anne’s church and the Lewes, Glynde and Beddingham Brass Band on the Nevill Green, for a service of Christmas Readings and Carol Singing, together with hot mince pies and mulled apple juice.

Carols on the Green dates for 2019 will be decided later in the year. We hope to see you there!

We hold a Messy Sunday on the fourth Sunday of every month. We start at 9:30 am with breakfast, followed by a time for craft/activities, and finishing with a worship celebration, and we aim to be finished by 10:30 am.

Do come and join us!

We also run Messy Church during school holidays, usually on a Friday morning between 10.30 am and 1 pm, when Bible based activities and crafts for all ages are followed by a short time of informal worship and a light meal.

Our next school holiday
Messy Church will be on
